In the west is the large beach of Livadia, but this one is quiet for a reason: as it gets windy here a lot of the time it is often covered with seaweeds and rubble. Some of the best beaches are Psaralyki, Agios Spiridonas, Theologos, Ai Giorgis, Glyfa, Panagia Sifneiko, Soros, Apandima and Livadia. In the south of Antiparos you find Kako Rema Beach, Vathis Volos Beach and the large sandy beach of Agios Georgios along with a lot of smaller coves, most of them sandy, some of them with sand and pebbles. The other beaches are smaller and are sometimes along the road and sometimes a bit more hidden away. The largest part is sandy and a smaller more narrow part is with sand and pebbles. It is a large beach where there is also place for naturists. On the eastern coastline you will find most of the other beaches, of which Soros (with a couple of tavernas) is the most famous one. A couple of centuries ago it was one of the most famous in the world.įor the people that like to go to naturist beaches I have made a special page.Ī little more about the beaches of Antiparos One of the other attractions on the island, a big cave, is also in the south. Antiparos Island is the sister island to Paros Island, one of the best Greek Islands located in the Aegean Sea. Agios Georgios also has a couple of nice beaches and plenty of private coves (for the naturists if you like that) and here you have a view over several other islands. Are you looking for Antiparos best beaches Stop looking, you’ve found them In this post, we share with you our favourite beaches on Antiparos, how to get there and what you can expect when visiting them. Soros (also for nudists) and Apandima Beach (with a cozy taverna) are very pretty and recommendable. A good thing, especially in high season when it tends to get very busy. It's worth renting a bike or a car and going to the south side of the island, where you will find some of the best beaches, and a small settlement, Agios Georgios, with some taverna's and some more rooms to let (the best: Dolphins Apartments, which is on my website). One of the great plusses is that in case there is a hard wind blowing you will always find a beach where you are not blown away, since they are all positioned in different places around the town. It doesn't really matter which way you walk, because you will within a short time bump into a beach. There's also a beach in front of our apartment, but the sand is a bit too hard to our taste. You have to walk for five minutes to reach them. My favourites are the naturistbeach and the campingbeach which overlook the small island of Diplo. There are a lot of beaches surrounding Antiparos town, some small, some larger, and with the exception of one they don't have chairs and umbrella's.
